These actions comprise studies on Bonelli’s Eagle and Eurasian Eagle Owl as well as a management plan for their prey species (red-legged Partridge and European Rabbit). In addition, actions are planned for the European Roller and the return of the Lesser Kestrel in the Alpilles. In part D the monitoring of the 13 bird species and of the two prey species is foreseen.
This part includes all actions related to human and agricultural activities in the Alpilles, i. e. olive-growing, fruit-growing, winegrowing, and cultivation of grain as well as pasturing, forest management, and other kinds of habitat management.
These actions include all activities that contribute to a better knowledge of the Alpilles as an interesting territory for bird watchers, as well as for eco-tourists or for the local stakeholder who might be interested in birds and their habitats. In addition, visitors management will reduce the disturbance of sensitive species.
